Ivy is an emerging designer from Sydney, joining
the team for the race weekend and showcasing her talent on the F1 stage.She holds a strong passion for sustainable design, and used her unique skillset of weaving to create bespoke designs on the HUGO special edition merchandise the team donned in Singapore. The designs were a nod to the culture within Singapore and acknowledged the beautiful nature of the country. Ivy Whiteman was the lucky winner of the Creator Platform Program selected to join the team for the race weekend!Fashion Designer Ivy Whiteman joined Visa Cash App RB team during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend to celebrate the
HUGO partnership and special denim livery. Across Friday and Saturday, Ivy set up station at the HUGO store, putting her craft to
the test by customising 40 different special edition HUGO t-shirts for Singapore fans. The hand-embroidered designs celebrated
the team and the special livery whilst incorporating naturalistic elements in a nod to the botanic gardens around Singapore particulary the national flower, the Vands Miss Joaquim. It wasn’t just fans who adorned the designs by Ivy - both Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo had bespoke, hand-embroidered
t-shirts to wear across the race weekend, sporting the special denim look with a blend of Ivy’s creativity.

What inspired you in Singapore?

“For the Drivers' shirts, I was inspired by the Singapore orchids, and what they represent for the Singaporean people. The orchid reflects the strength and resilience of their people and the many hybrid varieties symbolise the multicultural heritage and harmony of Singapore.”“For the HUGO store designs, I wanted to create designs inspired by the Singapore 2024 Grand Prix weekend, so that fans could have a special keepsake memento of this race. I stitched the VCARB car in colours inspired by the wicked denim livery, Singapore orchids and leaves with driver numbers, the track and a Singapore lantern.”“I stitched these designs out of raffia, a sustainable biodegradable fibre derived from palm leaves, to keep a piece of nature with the drivers and help them stay grounded and focused before the race.”
