Glitz, glamour, and a Garrett Graham reference?? This place has it all, talk about a full plate… While we’re on the main course, allow us to share our race poster, courtesy of @_james_martin_ as part of the VCARB Creator Platform (which you can be part of, details here). Of course, it wouldn’t be a VCARB race weekend without some iconic social filming, so what did we get our lads up to this week?
Wellllll, we started with some magic tricks, obviously, and then moved on to borrowing precious time from our star-studded, Oscar-worthy drivers. Wouldn’t be a social filming session without a harmless prank, though, would it?
Kicking off track action on Friday, we racked up over 130 laps during Practice 1 and Practice 2 as we acclimatised to life on the Monaco harbour. As we all know, Saturdays are critical during the Monaco Grand Prix, and we were sure to make the most of it. Arvid was a mere fraction of a second off Q3, and Liam sailed through to start Sunday’s race from P10. Here’s Liam’s quali debrief, using only boat puns:
Sunday means only one thing around here: RACE DAY, and Kim K was waving the VCARB flag, as expected. The race was pretty straightforward… until it wasn’t. Liam and Arvid started on Medium tyres, just like most of the field, and both gained a position on the opening lap due to Verstappen’s retirement. It wasn’t until Lap 46 that we first had pit stop action, with Liam boxing for a fresh set of tyres on Lap 46, emerging P8. Arvid was stuck in a train of cars, led by Alex Albon, and executed an opportunistic overtake on the Williams driver on the start/finish straight to secure P10 and make his way into the points.
On Lap 60, the Safety Car was deployed for Lance Stroll’s crash at the final corner and Arvid stayed out on his original set of tyres to maintain track position. Moments before the race was set to restart, Charles Leclerc crashed in an almost identical way to Stroll, bringing out another Safety Car and, two laps later, the red flag. The final corner had become damaged over the course of the race, and needed to be tended to before cars hit the track once more.

For Arvid, this meant he could get the cheapest of all cheap pit stops, and changed his tyres for fresh Softs during this red flag. Lovely stuff indeed. After this brief pause, we were back racing on Lap 69. Once Russell served his Drive-Through Penalty, Liam and Arvid were promoted up one spot each, crossing the line in P5 and P6, respectively. Career-best finishes for both of our boys. Let’s Mona-goooooooo!
Here’s how the boys decided to celebrate (turns out race suits aren’t waterproof):
Liam's debrief:
"I'm very, very happy with today. It's a great result for the team ending in P5 and P6, particularly given where we started at the beginning of the weekend. Races can feel pretty unpredictable at the moment, with cars being forced to retire, so it's important that we capitalise on those moments when they happen. I honestly enjoyed the race so much and the team worked incredibly hard to deliver a quick car today, so I'm super grateful to be ending the weekend on a high."
Arvid’s debrief:
"I'm incredibly happy with today's result. It was beyond anything I could have imagined after yesterday, so a massive thank you to everyone here at the track, the team in Faenza and Milton Keynes. They've done a phenomenal job, and for us to come away with a double points finish is a huge achievement. The first stint felt really long, I spent most of it in traffic and was focused on managing the tyres as best as I could. We were able to capitalise on the red flag, which turned out to be a massive opportunity, and in the end the restart was probably the most important part of the race for us. From there, I was just concentrating on making no mistakes and bringing the car home over the final few laps. All focus is on Barcelona now, which is a track I've always really enjoyed and I'm looking forward to it."
Right then, folks, allow us some time to celebrate this joint-career-best finish, and we’ll see you next week. We’re heading west to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRAN PREMIO DE BARCELONA-CATALUNYA 2026.
See you all there, where we’ll hopefully do it all over again.
Au revoir!
