From the city's streets to its nightlife and seaside, we combine motorsport energy with local culture, creativity and wellness. In this guide, we explain what to expect from our week in Melbourne and how each experience connects the world of Formula 1 with art, music and community.
VCARBxHemleyCollaboration
VCARB has partnered with Hemley Skateboarding, Melbourne’s oldest skateboarding shop, to celebrate both race week and Hemley’s 20th anniversary. This collaboration connects Formula 1 with the city’s street culture through bespoke art, design, and limited-edition merchandise.
We have developed a series of custom skateboards, t-shirts and an Australian Grand Prix poster designed by Melbourne-based artist Glen Fox. Fox merges Formula 1 visuals with landmarks and motifs that define Melbourne’s skate scene.
Both VCARB and Hemley share a commitment to self-expression and creativity. This partnership is about more than products: it is a celebration of community, craft and the intersection of motorsport with urban culture.
Garage Sessions returns to central Melbourne on 4th March, showcasing the collaboration and creating a multi-genre music experience. We combine local and international talent through DJ sets and live performances, giving fans an authentic taste of Melbourne’s nightlife.
This year, DJ Orange Hat, DJ Anga and RNB / Hiphop artist RHYS Rich, selected through our VCARB Creator Platform, will perform alongside the headline artists. This is part of our ongoing initiative to Give Wiiings to Emerging Creators, highlighting the craft behind music and giving new talent a stage to shine.
The first 150 attendees receive the exclusive t-shirts. Limited edition skateboards will be offered later via an online competition.
If you want a flavour of the experience, check out the wrap video from last year’s Garage Sessions below. It captures the atmosphere, the energy of the crowd and the creative vibe you can expect this year.
This year, we are taking race week energy off the track with Peloton in St Kilda. The day starts with a Formation Lap Yoga Flow led by Kirra Michel, followed by a 5K run with Jon Hosking, Erik Jäger and Australian guest Tim Robards. All levels are welcome, with pace groups available.
After the run, fans can relax in the Parc Fermé Recovery Lounge at Riviera Beach Club. Here, we explore Peloton’s Cross Training Series and recovery experiences powered by Hyperice, accompanied by drinks, snacks, Red Bull and a live DJ.
